DENNIS QUILLIN
Layering feathery strokes of colored pencil, Dennis Quillin creates largely abstract compositions in bold but limited palettes. His works summon familiar objects, creatures, and landscapes while remaining mysterious. Simple shapes and backgrounds hum with texture and movement through Dennis' application of color. The studio is a refuge for him, where he can express himself and how he sees the world. Dennis lives and works in DC, and has been a resident artist at Art Enables since 2018. In the studio, he's known for working with great concentration as well as for his wicked sense of humor.
You can currently see Dennis' work on view in our studio gallery, in our storefront windows as a Front Window Spotlight artist, as well as at Art Yard in Frenchtown, NJ in "One Wicked Mime," a two-person show with Studio Route 29 artist Christian Turner.
