Art Enables is proud to introduce Qin Xi Lin as our first Resident Artist.
Qin Xi is a very talented and multifaceted artist who came to the United States from his native China in 1996 at the invitation of a deaf theater company. His technical prowess is a product of the formalized training he received in China, but his often quixotic compositions demonstrate the fun he is having with the "anything's possible" coda of the American art scene.

Qin Xi is very disciplined and self-directed as an artist, in part, logically, because of his deafness. But in the 11 years since he has been in this country Qin Xi has learned not only to write English but to sign in ALS which gives us two avenues of communication with him - in addition to his very powerful visual one.
